Busy Day in Glacier National Park

The fun Started Sunday evening. First, we met up with another young full-time couple. Toni & Mike(click to check out their blog) just started a couple of month's ago; We thought we were young to be doing this, they are under 30! We chatted with them for a while and hope to do some biking with them later this week.

On the way back from our chat, our neighbours noticed Snuggy and ran into their coach to bring out Buddy, their White capped Amazon. Snuggy and Buddy were not too interested in each other, but we had a nice chat with Buddy's parents! We managed to get Snuggy and Buddy to tolerate each other enough to get this picture!

After I did my grueling 2 hours of work this morning, we decided to head out and check out Glacier park. We headed out on the " Going to the Sun Hwy" through Logan Pass. It was quite an impressive ride as we rode along MacDonald Lake, crystal clear and aqua blue. We drove up to 8,800' and snapped this pic of Heavens Peak and the valley below.

We made our way back down to the valley to grab some lunch. Next, we decided to take a nice leisurely hike to John's Lake. Here is Laura testing the sturdiness of the bridge over the bog, before I tried to cross over :)

After a long day of working, visiting, driving and hiking, there is nothing better for dinner then a big, juicy steak and a glass of red wine! (you veggies can stop reading here, you know who you are, eh!). Our campsite had a fire ring which we have not seen since we've been west of the Mississippi! We bought some firewood at the camp store and grilled our steaks over an oak fire; There is NOTHING better then a good steak grilled over wood! Oh yeah, if you veggies are still reading, we did have steamed broccoli with the steaks and wine ;)

I'm tired.....See ya!
