Sedona to Kanab

Today, we made the 250 mile drive from Sedona to the Kanab RV Corral. We took I-17 from Sedona to Flagstaff. Then, it was 89 North, the remainder of the drive. The drive from Flagstaff to Kanab was, by far, the most amazing drive of the tour!

We saw amazing rock formations, in every color imaginable; From deep reds, purple, browns, greys and greens. We passed through Page, Arizona and over the Glenn Canyon Dam on the south end of Lake Powell. Route 89 is mostly 2 lane road, the speed limit is 55 and it's not very crowded. The drive took longer then usual, but it gave us plenty of opportunity to take in the scenery.

We are here for the next 8 days. We plan on volunteering for at least 3 days at the Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary (our orientation tour is Friday), get in some hiking in Zion and Bryce Canyon and do some biking as well.

This our first time in this area, and we are just amazed at the beauty here. We are fortunate to be able to explore the area for a few days, and we look forward to sharing our findings on these pages....Stay tuned.
