Paso Robles, CA; The Sun Makes an Appearance
Spring Cleaning
The sun did finally show it's face around here on Saturday. We took the opportunity to take Snuggles for a walk around the campground. She has not been out in about a week. However, the coastal breezes kept the temps cool, around 59F (15C for Canucks and Europeans!) so it was a short walk.
After our marathon of wine the other day, today was going to be 'wine free'. We decided to use the rest of the day to catch up on laundry and do some spring cleaning. For any of you that have aspirations of full-timing, if you think you are ditching your responsibilities and 'chores' by ditching the house; Think again!
400 sq feet tends to get dirty a lot quicker then (fill in the blank) sq ft you live in now. Moving your house from location to location only compounds the dust and dirt. While Laura worked on the laundry, I pulled all the screens for a vacuum and cleaned all the windows. I pulled the screens from the vents and cleaned the fans. I had to re-caulk around the door; We developed a leak with all of this rain.
If you have been following along for a while, you know I tend not to try to bore readers' with the mundane like cleaning and repair, sitting around waiting for it to stop raining, watching TV, blogging, or just plain lounging; I don't feel it makes for compelling reading. However, we have gained quite a few reader's who are future and potential full-timers, I think 'the whole package' is sometimes useful to those readers.
Yesterday's lesson: Full-timing does NOT let you escape the chores of your current life! (Why didn't somebody tell me!!!)
If the weather holds out for Sunday, now that we have clean clothes and the house is clean, we might do the tourist thing and check out Hearst Castle and Morro Bay.
