Snuggles Goes For A Ride.....

......And Meets Some Friends!

One of Snuggles favorite things to do is go for bike ride around the campgrounds we visit. Of course she becomes the center of attention; as we pass we hear a lot of "hey, that's a real bird on that bike!"

Here, Snug is in her 'tuck' position! The faster we go, the more aerodynamic she becomes. She really seems to enjoy her version of 'flying' and we know she LOVES the attention!







Today, we passed by a motorhome that had a huge cage in the front window; so of course, we had to go check it out. Inside was a beautiful moluccan cockatoo! The owners were not home at the time so we decided to check back later in the day.

After dinner, we walked over with Snuggles to meet the moluccan. Here is Peaches with her owner and Snug doing her 'shy guy' routine, because this bird is about 3 times the size of Snug!

Peaches owners have their own little traveling zoo! Besides Peaches, they have a dog, a cat, an African Grey parrot, a black capped conure and a Caique (wow, it was a busy place!)

Here is the picture of the Caiuque, my pics of the Grey and the black cap turned out too dark to post. Poor Snug, she was just overwhelmed by the activity in this motorhome and just sat in her 'shy guy' pose while we chatted with the owners.


Its funny, in the four months we have been on the road, we have not run into any other RV'ing birds. In the past 2 weeks, Snug has made 5 new friends! Here is Snuggles with Campy the African Grey we met last week. Campy's owner lets him enjoy the outdoors from the safety of cage. He says he tends to be snippy and his wings are not clipped. Snug was more interested in Campy's seeds then the bird.
